I was selected as a participant by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) from India. JSPS annually organizes this meeting. The 15th HOPE meeting is chaired by KAJITA Takaaki (Nobel Laureate in Physics 2015). Seven Nobel Laureates in natural sciences, including KAJITA Takaaki (Physics, 2015), J. Georg BEDNORZ (Physics, 1987), Morten MELDAL (Chemistry, 2022), David W. C. MACMILLAN (Chemistry, 2021), Stefan W. HELL (Chemistry, 2014), OHSUMI Yoshinori (Physiology or Medicine, 2016), and Paul NURSE (Physiology/Medicine, 2001), gave lectures.
This meeting provides a unique opportunity for each of the participants. A participant has to present a flash talk (a minute . oral presentation of the research work) in front of distinguished scientists and researchers, followed by a poster presentation session. A participant will be involved in team presentations. Participants are distributed over 9–10 groups, and each team consists of 9–10 participants. Each team should present what they think and can propose to society to achieve one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
